LINES
Over the past two decades, lines have emerged as a dominant motif in my artistic work. While the use of lines can be attributed to various influences, I posit that it originated from the fundamental geometric principle that the shortest distance between two points is a straight line. Although this principle does not directly apply to my artistic endeavors, it serves as a mental trigger for the concept of “lines.”
Consequently, I categorize my work into two distinct groups: those that specifically incorporate lines and those that do not. Employing both approaches occasionally provides a refreshing contrast to the other.
Lines have provided choices that I am still investigating. Recently, lines have become layered, enveloping compositions. I find the concept of viewing through the lines intriguing.
